Some think the only gay activity in Gay Los Angeles is going to a bar. Now you know there are sports teams and social groups here too. The most popular sports in Los Angeles are softball, with 90 teams, and bowling, with 50 teams. The most popular social group is the car club, with 1100 members. Roller skating night has been going on for 24 years, and the ice hockey team was the first gay team in the USA 25 years ago. Many of the gay athletics groups compete with others teams from around the world at The Gay Games, a gay version of the Olympics with 12,000 participants from 70 countries.
